How do I enable JavaScript in browser?

What is JavaScript?

JavaScript is a scripting language which enables Web authors to design interactive Web sites. Most of today's Web pages require JavaScript in order to function properly. If JavaScript is disabled in your Web browser some Web pages will not function properly.

Windows Internet Explorer

Note: To allow scripting on this Web site only, and to leave scripting disabled in the Internet zone, add this Web site to the Trusted sites zone.
  1. On the Tools menu, click Internet Options, and then click the Security tab.
  2. Click the Internet zone.
  3. If you do not have to customize your Internet security settings, click Default Level. Then go to step 5.
  4. If you have to customize your Internet security settings, follow these steps:
    1. Click Custom Level button
    2. In the Security Settings – Internet Zone dialog box, click Enable for Active Scripting in the Scripting section.

  5. Click the Back button to return to the previous page, and then click the Refresh button to run scripts.

Mozilla Corporation's Firefox

  1. On the Tools menu, click Options.
  2. On the Content tab, click to select the Enable JavaScript check box. Click OK
  3. Click the Go back one page button to return to the previous page, and then click the Reload current page button to run scripts.

Opera Software's Opera

  1. Click on the Opera Menu button, located in the upper left hand corner of your browser window.
  2. Hover over Settings option from drop down menu.
  3. Hover over Quick Preferences.
  4. Click to select the Enable JavaScript check box.
  5. Click the Back button to return to the previous page and Reload to refresh the page.

Apple's Safari

  1. Click on the Menu button, located in the upper right hand corner of your browser window.
  2. Choose Preferences
  3. Select Security icon
  4. Click to select Enable JavaScript option.
  5. Click the Back button to return to the previous page and Reload to refresh the page.

Google's Chrome

  1. Click Tool icon
  2. Choose Options
  3. Click Under the Hood
  4. Click Content settings button
  5. Select Allow all sites to run JavaScript(recommended) option
  6. Click the Back button to return to the previous page and Reload to refresh the page.
