She was very thorough. She was finding out what's available in the surrounding Boroughs, things [customer] could do, and places he could go with his carers.
[H]is communication skills were excellent. He allowed me to pause, he allowed me time to retrieve words when I needed to. He made me feel like he had all the time in the world to sit and listen to me.
Lot of choices and control seem to be taken away from you. I'm unable to control what I'm going to be like on a day to day basis, on an hour to hour basis sometimes. And so to be able to feel in control about my own help and support, about what I want to do, was really important to me. It helped make me feel good about myself again.
